What we offer
Thomley Activity Centre is situated in 7 acres of beautiful and peaceful countryside. All the facilities are fully accessible and securely enclosed, providing a safe and supportive setting for children to play, learn and take measured risks. There are a wide range of activities suitable for all ages and abilities allowing visitors to have fun, make new friends and feel accepted.
In 2011, Thomley opened a new, purpose built facility for disabled teenagers, providing opportunities for the development of social, early vocational, healthy living and life skills for the older age group.The centre is open throughout the year, including school holidays.
During the holidays, we offer a varied menu of exciting (and generally messy) activities including specialised workshops such as music and movement, aromatherapy, creative art, cookery and sports. For holiday activities see ‘Newsletters’, and for other special events see ‘Upcoming Events’.
During term time, schools are welcome and activities can be tailor-made to compliment school projects. Thomley also offers fortnightly Wednesdays for home educated children, as well as focus days for toddlers, teenagers, disabled adults (16yrs +), dads and male carers.
Thomley also provides a unique opportunity for parents and carers to relax, enjoy quality time with their children, share experiences with other families and access information about disability issues and other support networks.
